Submitting
your film for selection to the Imaginaria Film Festival automatically
gives you different benefits:
1) IMAGINARIA Awards 2008 - if selected (deadline
march 30, 2008)
2) Your film will be automatically listed in our FILMMARKET
SECTION, an online catalogue listing Imaginaria participants.
Allows Distributors, Agents, Web Content Buyers and other
industry professionals to contact you directly
3) IMAGINARIA On Tour - The Imaginaria takes our hottest
films on a non-stop trip to film festivals, screenings, and
events around the world.

Monthly Screening Series - audience
elected monthly winners will be entered into the annual Imaginaria
Audience Award competition.
RULES & REGULATIONS
To
submit your film to the Imaginaria Film Festival, please read
our eligibility requirements below.
If you're able to comply with these rules, please complete
our online APPLICATION.
Enter your information in the required fields, print the form,
and sign it. Then simply send it along with your DVD with Italian or English subtitles and press kit (see "what to
send" ) to:

submissions please clearly mark "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE - FOR
CULTURAL PURPOSE ONLY" on your packages.

We'll return an answer within 48hrs.
ELIGIBILITY
Films must have been completed after
December 2005.
Running time for feature films must
be no more then 90 minutes. 20 minutes for shorts.
Features and Short Films/videos
must not have received italian network television
distribution (including cable and PAY-TV). Competitive entries
must not have commercial distribution in Italy to
be eligible.
Foreign films submitted to the Festival
must be subtitled in Italian or English.
Entries with Master Digital Supports must be made available for presentation
at least three (3) weeks before the event date.
Submissions are only accepted on
DVD (PAL or NTSC). Entries, as well as accompanying materials,
will NOT be returned and will become property of the organization
and its archive.
Those selected for screening during
the IMAGINARIA Awards will be notified at least one(1) month
before the event starts by telephone or e-mail.
Those selected for the monthly screenings
will be notified at least thirty (30) days before the event
date by telephone or e-mail.
One official entry form must accompany
each individual submission.
Film producers must also agree to include in future promotion
material the mention of the participation at the Imaginaria
Independent Film Festival, the relevant section and any
award received, along with the official IMAGINARIA
LOGO.
The works already sent to the previous editions of “Imaginaria Film Festival ” will not be admitted.
THE JURY
IMAGINARIA AWARD recepients are determined
by a jury of professional filmmakers, actors, distributors,
agents and journalists.
IMAGINARIA AUDIENCE AWARD is determined
by audience votes.
All awards will be split equally between
the director and the production company of the film as shown
in the credits.
IMAGINARIA AWARDS
The prizes and special mentions for international
competition:
- Best International feature Film
- Best International short Film
- Best animated short
- Best direction
- Best actor/actress
- Best screenplay
- Best soundtrack
Up to 50 films will be selected as finalists
in the Imaginaria Awards competition. The winners ill be chosen
by a jury of entertainment industry professionals, and announced
at the Gala Ceremony.
WHAT TO SEND
The following items MUST accompany
all entry forms or will otherwise be returned.
- DVD
with English or Italian subtitles.
- Short Synopsis (on CD Rom)
- One line Synopsis (on CD Rom)
- Director's Biography (on CD Rom)
- n.1 B&W or color stills of director
(we prefer JPEG/TIFF 300 DPI on CD Rom)
- n.2 B&W or color stills of film (we prefer JPEG/TIFF 300 DPI
on CD Rom)
- Complete principal cast/credits
list (on CD Rom)
These items may be
used in our catalogue or web site and may be released to the
news media in order to promote selected films.
NOTICE: As part of our mission statement, our
organization may refer names and contacts of submitting filmmakers
to independent distributors, creative agencies, press and
internet companies. Tapes and other related materials, however,
remain in the strict possession of the Festival's archive.
